Four (4) minors, four (4) cooks and eight (8) women held at the Kosovo Correctional Service Center in Lipjan have successfully completed the training in gastronomy. 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳
Officials of Help Kosovo visited the Correctional-Educational Center in Lipjan supported with equipment for gastronomy years ago and raw material for training in gastronomy through the project carried out with the aim of rehabilitation and re-socialization of detained persons, within the project “Supporting socio-economic stability in the Western Balkans region” in the period 2017-2018.
According to Ali Gashi, Director of this Center, the project supported by Help with kitchen equipment has been a good opportunity for minors to train as cooks because there have been requests from convicts and due to the lack of equipment training for cooks has been impossible.
The lack of equipment, the lack of certified trainers as well as the lack of concretizing material (food items) which are not included in the contract with economic operators have been some of the challenges that SHKK has faced.
Help’s investment has had a positive impact resulting in two generations trained in gastronomy.
Further, in cooperation with the APRK, three cooks have followed the training on Work Methodology, where they will hold trainings with the prisoners under the monitoring of the Professional Training Center – QAP.

Help Kosovo has hosted a regional meeting on the third week of May 2023. Participants consisted of Help-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe Bonn HQ, the Regional Office of Help, Help Missions from Albania, Bosnia& Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine, and Moldova.

Cooperation is the cornerstone of progress, and we firmly believe that by joining forces, we can achieve incredible things together. As the renowned saying goes, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”

Help Misioni në Kosovo bën thirrje për aplikim për grante në kuadër të projektit “Përfshirja dhe Fuqizimi Ekonomik në Ballkanin Perëndimor” i cili do të realizohet në komunat e listuara me poshtë.

• Prishtinë – 30 grante
• Pejë – 20 grante
• Prizren – 20 grante
• Mitrovicë e Jugut – 20 grante
• Lipjan – 20 grante
• Junik – 15 grante
• Mamushë – 15 grante

Qëllimi i përgjithshëm i projektit është të kontribuojë në zhvillim të qëndrueshëm dhe stabilitet në Kosovë me fokus kryesor fuqizimin ekonomik. Përderisa, qëllimi i veçantë është krijimi i vendeve të reja të punës përmes mbështetjes direkte me grante për biznese të vogla. Nëpërmjet këtij projekti, ofrohen pajisje në mënyrë që përfituesit të mund të fillojnë apo të rrisin biznesin e tyre. Vlera mesatare e një granti, për një përfitues, është 2,400.00 Euro ne formë të pajisjeve, jo para te gatshme.

Help Mission in Kosovo has concluded partnership agreements with partner municipalities within the project “Inclusion and Economic Empowerment in the Western Balkans” which will be implemented in the municipalities: Junik, Mamushë, Lipjan, South Mitrovica, Prizren, Pejë.
This project is financed by the German Government, the partner municipalities, while it is implemented by the organization Help in Kosovo.
Citizens from the municipalities included in the project have the right to apply for 2023.
Application forms can be obtained during information meetings in your municipality or downloaded via the website at the link: www.help-kosovo.org.
Information meetings with citizens in the partner municipalities will be held during the month of April 2023.
The last date for the application is May 19, 2023, Friday, 16:00, the application officially starts after holding the information meetings.
