Help Kosovo activities for Earth Day
Help Kosovo, Down Syndrome Kosova (DSK) and Community Development Fund (CDF) planted 22 trees together at the National Library of Kosovo, to raise awareness of environmental protection and the symbol that everyone contribute to the good of the planet in some way, today and every day.
#EarthDay (22nd of April) brought together and established an effective synergy between Help Mission in Kosovo, the Kosovo Correctional Service of Kosovo and the Municipality of Prishtina in the financing, producing, and assembling of garbage bins within the city of Prishtina.
More than 160 clients supported by Help in 2022
Help po zbaton nënshkrimin e kontratave për grante me perfituesit nga Komunat partnere Skenderaj, Klinë, Rahovec, Shtime, Malishevë, Dragash e Kamenicë në kuader të projektit “Fuqizimi socio-ekonomik në Ballkanin Perëndimor” financuar nga Ministria e Punëve të Jashtme e Qeverisë Gjermane dhe Komunat partnere të përfshira në projekt.
Qëllimi i përgjithshëm i projektit është të kontribuojë në zhvillim të qëndrueshëm dhe stabilitet në Kosovë me fokus kryesor fuqizimin ekonomik. Përderisa, qëllimi i veçantë është krijimi i vendeve të reja të punës përmes mbështetjes direkte me grante për biznese të vogla.
Nëpërmjet këtij projekti, ofrohen pajisje në mënyrë që përfituesit të mund të fillojnë apo të zhvillojnë bizneset e tyre. Vlera mesatare e një granti, për një përfitues, është 2,000 Euro në formë të pajisjeve.
Si pjesë e Projektit, Help Kosovo zhvilloi trajnimet biznesore me qëllim të nxitjes së punësimit dhe zhvillimit të ndërmarrësisë dhe zgjerimit të mundësive të punësimit për klientët e mbështetur nga komunat e synuara. Trajnimi i biznesit u mbajt nga vetë stafi i Help Kosovo.

Help is implementing grant contracts signing with clients from the Partner Municipalities of Skenderaj, Klinë, Rahovec, Shtime, Malishevë, Dragash and Kamenicë in the framework of the project “Socio-economic empowerment in Western Balkans” funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of German Government and partner municipalities involved in the project.
The overall goal of the project is to contribute to sustainable development and stability in Kosovo with the main focus on economic empowerment. While, the specific goal is to create new jobs through direct grant support for small businesses.
Through this project, equipment is provided so that beneficiaries can start or develop their businesses. The average value of a grant, for a beneficiary, is 2,000 Euros in equipment.
As a part of the Project, Help Kosovo conducted business training aiming to foster employability and entrepreneurship and expanding job opportunities for the supported clients from targeted municipalities. The business training was delivered by Help Kosovo staff.
Help visits on International Romani Day
Second selection visits in targeted municipalities
Help has started field visits to shortlisted candidates from the targeted Municipalities: Shtime, Skenderaj, Malisheva, Klina, Dragash, Kamenica and Rahovec within the project “Socio-economic empowerment in the Western Balkans”.
Through these visits Help aims to make the most efficient selection by verifying the real socio-economic situation of the candidates.
After the completion of this phase, the final selection of grant beneficiaries from the respective municipalities will take place.

Global Recycling Day activity in Prishtina
Global Recycling Day (18th of March) brought together and established an effective synergy between Help Mission in Kosovo, the Kosovo Correctional Service Shërbimi Korrektues i Kosovës, and the Municipality of Prishtina Komuna e Prishtinës in the financing, producing, and assembling of garbage bins within the city of Prishtina. The significance and uniqueness of this project lies within the production of the trash bins, as they were produced and welded by the prisoners of the Dubrava Prison where Help previously provided professional training in the field of welding and necessary materials. Help’s support for International Women’s Day
Training of Trainers for Help Kosovo staff
An organization’s ability to learn, utilize that knowledge and convert it into action, is the ultimate advantage towards growth and development. Our staff has started the training “Training of trainers” where they are being taught and trained on the methodology of training, developing training curricula, and the principles of effective training that will be utilized in the field to enhance the dissemination of information to our beneficiaries.
Development of business training for WEE Simple is finalized
WEE SIMPLE is the third and final component of the Women Energy Entrepreneurs-WEE, designed to support and encourage women entrepreneurs to grow their businesses through a more efficient use of energy. Women Energy Entrepreneurs-WEE is part of the broader Women in Energy Program implemented by Millennium Foundation Kosovo (MFK) supported by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
Within this component business trainings, which are implemented by Help Kosovo, have been successfully conducted. The trainings were held during the period December 2021-February 2022, for beneficiaries of the following municipalities: Prishtinë, Prizren, Gjakovë, Ferizaj, Podujevë, Gjilan, Fushë Kosovë, Graçanica and Mitrovica North.
The training program lasted 2 (two) training days and consisted of topics that are crucial for business owners to succeed namely, Entrepreneurship Concept and Best Practices, Canvas Business Model, Strategic and Marketing Planning, Financial Planning and Tax System in Kosovo, Business Registration in Kosovo, and Environmental Health and Safety. The participants have played an integral role in the trainings by actively participating in discussions and conducting various business analysis to adapt to the market demands.
The training program has been facilitated by the Organization for Socio-Economic Stability (OSES) to conduct, monitor and supervise the development of the training.
