The cooperation agreement for the implementation of the USAID program that aims to support the employment of Kacanik’s youth has been signed
Deputy mayor of Kaçanik, Ylber Bajra, and Shqipe Breznica, Project Coordinator of the Help organization, signed a cooperation agreement within the program “Training Program for Self-Employment” on August 28. This program is funded by USAID’s EMPOWER Private Sector project, in partnership with the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
In accordance with the agreement, the Municipality of Kaçanik and the Help organization will co-operate with the aim of encouraging employment and entrepreneurship in vulnerable and economically disadvantaged young people of this municipality. Additionally, the municipality of Kaçanik / Kačanik will co-finance this program related with the activities that will take place in this municipality.
“Training Program for Self-Employment” relies on the idea that supporting Kosovo’s youth in entrepreneurship enables them to develop skills that will increase their employment opportunities and promote sustainable livelihood.
In addition to the municipality of Kaçanik, this program will be implemented in Gjilan, Hani i Elezit, and Viti. “Training Program for Self-Employment” will be implemented by Help during the next 15 months.
