“Women Book” first Western Balkans joint project

Balkan Women Association (BWA) which is aiming to enable the diversification of knowledge, experiences, models and initiatives from six Balkan countries to foster women entrepreneurship is currently implementing their first joint project “Women Book”, powered by Western Balkans Fund and co-funded by Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe.

“WOMEN BOOK” is a book-making activity that contains the portfolios of 60 women from these 6 countries, more precisely 10 women entrepreneurs from each country representing their own personal business story. The beauty of this book is practically its diversity, as it presents businesses from different sectors run by women of different ethnic backgrounds.

This weekend, 27-29 September 2019 in Skopje women entrepreneurs gathered for a Mentoring Workshop as their second project activity.

Help and Municipality of Prishtina support micro-businesses

On 28.08.2019, Help signed a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Prishtina to support of at least 30 micro businesses for 2020.

The Mayor, Mr. Shpend Ahmeti was pleased to reach this agreement with Help, and also expressed readiness for the successful implementation of the project.

The Country Director of Help, Shqipe Breznica encouraged citizens to follow the activities of Help Organization and take advantage of this opportunity to develop their businesses or to open a start-up.

After this agreement Help will continue with the information sessions for citizens of Prishtina in early 2020 where everyone will be notified about the application procedures.

Successful completion of business training for 125 Help clients of SOE 03/2019

Successful completion of the “Business Administration in Kosovo” training for selected clients for the grant scheme within the “Support for Socio-Economic Stability in the Western Balkans 2019-2020” project.

The training was organized for the clients of the municipalities with which Help has a cooperation agreement during 2019.

In Obiliq were trained and certified 30 clients, in Fushë-Kosovë 35, in Prizren 42 and in Gracanica 18 beneficiaries who beside the business training also benefited grant in the form of equipment.

This training was implemented by A & A Consulting Center.

Help supports 45 entrepreneurs with grants in Prizren

On 28.06.2019, , Help signed the grant agreements with 45 selected clients from Municipality of Prizren

Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe within the project “Supporting Socio-Economic Stability in the Western Balkans 2019-2020”, funded by the German Government and Partner Municipalities and implemented by the Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe organization after the completion of the selection process, on Friday 28th of June, 2019 in the Municipality of Prizren signed agreements with selected clients in this municipality.

Present during the event were Country Director of Help, Shqipe Breznica, Mayor of Prizren Municipality Mytaher Haskuka, Director of Economic Development and Tourism in Prizren Municipality Sevil Kazaz, representatives of the Help organization as well as selected clients for grants.

The overall goal of the project is to contribute to sustainable development and stability in Kosovo with the main focus of economic empowerment. While, the specific purpose is to create new jobs through direct grants support for small businesses. Through this project, equipment is provided so that the beneficiaries can start or increase their businesses. The average value of a grant for a beneficiary is 2,000.00 Euro in the form of non-cash equipment.
