Help Kosovo provides support to the youth of the Municipality of Viti

Mayor of the Municipality Sokol Haliti hosted in a meeting Help representatives Shqipe Breznica – Program Coordinator and Gent Saraçi Grant Officer from Help Kosovo.

The meeting was of informative character where Shqipe Breznica from Help Kosovo informed Mayor Haliti about the project “EMPOWER Private Sector”.
She said the “Training Program for Self-Employment” aims at expanding employment opportunities for young people in Kosovo and is the focus of the Self-Employment Training Program.
The project aims to promote employment and entrepreneurship skills among young people who are interested in helping ideas and self-initiation help in their plans. Help Organization has signed the Grant Agreement to implement the “Self-Employment Training Program” project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) by the American People’s EMPOWER Private Sector Project and The Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and the project will be implemented over a period of 15 months.
While Mayor Sokol Haliti thanked Help Organization for selecting the municipality of Viti to be part of this program and agreed that Hani i Elezit Municipality and Help Organization will also sign the agreement to concretize this cooperation.

Mayor of the Municipality Rufki Suma hosted in a meeting Mr.Gent Saraçi and Ms. Rina Gjana representatives from Help Kosovo.

The meeting was of informative character where Mr.Gent Saraçi official from Help Kosovo informed Mayor Suma about the project “EMPOWER Private Sector”.

While Mayor Rufki Suma thanked Mr.Gent Saraçi from Kosovo Help Organization that have also selected the municipality of Hani i Elezit to be part of this program agreed soon that Hani i Elezit Municipality and the Kosovo Help Organization will also sign understanding agreement to concretize this cooperation.

OPEN MARKET FOR Help’s CLIENTS (BENEFICIARIES) Project

“Support to socio-economic stability in the western Balkans region 2017-2018” financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the German Government, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and partner Municipalities and implemented by Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe on Friday, 03 August 2018 organized an open market. Open market aims to provide opportunities for Help’s clients (beneficiaries) to expose, promote and sell their products. Market was located in the Boulevard in Peja from 15:00 – 21:00. The activity was also supported by the Municipality of Peja.

Expanding job opportunities for youth in Kosovo is the focus of our latest Self-Employment Training Program. 

Today, EMPOWER Private Sector project signed a grant agreement with local organization Help Kosovo to implement the training program which aims to foster employ-ability and entrepreneurship of vulnerable and marginalized youth in Gjilan, Viti, Kacanik, and Hani i Elezit. In the next 15 months, the program will deliver business skills training to around 200 youth, and upon completion, the top 32 business proposals presented by the trained youth will receive small grants to start their own businesses. In partnership with Sida – Styrelsen för Internationellt Utvecklingssamarbete.
