Fisnik Bekolli works with gastronomy for about 22 years and counting, now he runs a small business called “Bar Academy”. He has started working as a dish washer in the age of 17 in London where then he advanced in the position of barmen assistant, barmen, management, wine champion and area manager in bars, restaurants and different hotels in London, New York, Stockholm, Palma de Majorca and Cagliari of Sardinia.

He is certified as a Barista, Mixologist, Bar and Restaurant Management and Liquor.

He works in Kosovo since 2008 where he opened the first ever cocktail bar in Pristina and continued training of staff for successful businesses such as Prince Coffee House, Swiss Diamond Hotel, Soma book station etc.

Now is my second year since I opened the business with the support of Help Kosovo who supported me with different equipment for gastronomy. “You have to struggle a little bit by yourself in the beginning than apply for grant”.

In Bar Academy we offer different services for gastronomy such as catering, different events such as birthdays and weddings with professional staff. We also help businesses in recruiting professional staff and also offer trainings after which they are ready to work. In Kosovo the space and the need of trainings in the industry of gastronomy and higher standards is more necessary than walls and interior.
